What it is, and who makes it

The strap is made by Soldier, a guitar strap brand in China, and the logo embossed on the shoulder and on the end reads Soldier Guitar and Bass Straps 2005. You should know whose strap you are buying before you pay for it, so we print it. Setlist Straps is the UK retailer: we price it in pounds, answer your email from Hailsham in East Sussex, and take the return to a UK address. The strap is two layers of cowhide stitched together down both edges, with the back finished as suede so it holds on a shirt instead of sliding to your neck, and solid leather ends with one strap-button hole in each.

Soldier has not given us the width or the adjustment range in inches, we asked on 14 September 2026, and until they answer no figure for either appears on this site.

Who makes this strap?
Soldier, a guitar strap brand in China. The logo is embossed into the leather, so you can see whose strap it is before you order it. We buy it, sell it in pounds, answer your email from East Sussex and take returns to a UK address.
How does the length adjust?
The tail is cut with a row of slots. You feed the tail through the shoulder end and pick the slot that puts the guitar where you want it, the way a belt works. One strap covers seated and standing play.
How wide is it, exactly?
We print a measurement when the maker confirms it, and Soldier has not sent the figure back yet. We asked on 14 September 2026. It is a wide strap, wider than the nylon strap most guitars come with, and the photographs show it across a guitar neck and over a shoulder. If an exact number is what decides your order, the 30-day return covers you either way, and we refund the return postage.
Is it padded?
No. There is no foam core. The shoulder is two layers of cowhide, so the weight is spread by the width of the strap rather than by padding.
Will it fit an acoustic with one strap button?
Not on its own. Both ends of this strap are button holes, so the guitar needs two strap buttons. An acoustic with only a tail button needs a headstock tie or a neck button fitted by a repair shop. We sell neither.
Where does it ship from?
It ships from China. Soldier is a Chinese brand and our fulfillment partner, CJ Dropshipping, warehouses the strap there, so they post it to you direct. Dispatched within 3 days, then 4 to 7 days in transit. Free inside the UK.
