A 3.5 inch padded strap that spreads the weight of a bass or a heavy single-cut across the shoulder.
Padded, full-grain, 3.5 inches wide
A four or five string bass can weigh 9 to 11 lb, and a 2 inch strap turns that into a line of pressure across one point of the shoulder. This strap is 3.5 inches wide with a padded core, so the weight is spread over nearly twice the area, and the suede back keeps it where you put it when you move.

Bass strap questions
Is 3.5 inches too much for a guitar?
It is made for basses and heavy single-cuts. On a light guitar it will feel like more strap than you need; the Wide at 3 inches is the better pick there.
Which length for a bass?
Bass players tend to wear the instrument lower than guitarists, so the Regular runs 2 inches longer than the guitar straps. Over 6 ft or playing very low, pick Long. Exchanges are free.
Does the padding flatten?
The core is a closed-cell foam under full-grain leather. It compresses a little in the first month and then holds its shape; it does not go flat the way an open-cell sponge does.
